Dr Daniel Sathianathan has over 10 years of experience as an adult General Cardiologist and Echocardiologist. His areas of interest include the utilisation of stress echocardiography for the evaluation of patients with chest pain or shortness of breath, clinical and echocardiographic evaluation of patients with murmurs and valvular heart disease, and primary and secondary prevention of ischaemic heart disease.
Dr Sathianathan completed his general cardiology specialist training at The Canberra Hospital followed by a one year fellowship in echocardiography at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane in 2009 where he remained as a Staff Specialist Cardiologist and Echocardiologist for a further year in 2010. Subsequently, Dr Sathianathan worked as a Specialist Cardiologist across several metropolitan and regional public teaching hospitals in Queensland and northern NSW from 2011 to 2019. He maintains a strong interest in echocardiography research and education.
Dr Sathianathan has been a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) since 2009.
