Dr Martin Cullen is a Consultant General Physician and Intensive Care Specialist.
Dr Cullen’s interests include perioperative medicine, acute medicine, heart failure in the critically ill and infectious diseases. He is active in researching infectious diseases in the critically ill and he has a long history of teaching medical students and junior doctors in acute care medicine.
Coordinating the care of patients with complex medical problems is Dr Cullen’s main interest. Dr Cullen is interested in assisting General Practitioners and sub-specialists who have patients with multi organ failure. He sees this role as unique to General Physicians.
Dr Cullen has extensive experience in General Medicine in Sydney as well as running a rural General Medicine program. He is currently an Intensive Care Specialist at Westmead Hospital.
Dr Cullen has a BSc (Hons) MBBS from the University of Sydney and has been a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as well as being a Fellow of the College of Intensive Care since 2009.
